Welcome to Claros. By accessing or using our website, tools, and services at claroshq.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Claros provides website analysis and optimization recommendation services. Our tools scan publicly accessible web pages and generate reports covering performance, search engine optimization (SEO), security posture, and accessibility compliance. We offer:
- Free Website Grader: An instant, automated score of your website across key metrics.
- Comprehensive Audit Reports: Detailed, paid reports with prioritized recommendations for improving your website.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Scheduled scans and alerts for subscribed customers.
2. Disclaimer
All reports, scores, grades, and recommendations provided by Claros are informational in nature. They are generated through automated analysis of publicly available data and do not constitute professional advice in the fields of cybersecurity, legal compliance, web development, or any other discipline.
Claros does not guarantee that following our recommendations will result in improved search rankings, faster load times, enhanced security, or compliance with any specific regulation (including but not limited to WCAG, ADA, GDPR, or PCI-DSS). Website performance and security depend on many factors beyond the scope of our analysis.
Our reports reflect a point-in-time snapshot. Conditions may change after your report is generated. We recommend periodic re-evaluation and consultation with qualified professionals for critical decisions.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Claros and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities
- Data loss or corruption
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Damages arising from reliance on report findings
- Third-party claims related to your website
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Claros for the specific service giving rise to the claim within the twelve (12) months preceding the event.
4. Refund Policy
We stand behind the quality of our audit reports. If you are unsatisfied with a Comprehensive Audit Report for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase. To request a refund:
- Email support@claroshq.com with your order number.
- Include a brief description of why the report did not meet your expectations.
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.
Refunds apply to audit report purchases only. Subscription services may be canceled at any time, with access continuing through the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused subscription time.
5. Data Handling
Claros scans publicly accessible URLs only. We do not attempt to access password-protected pages, private networks, internal systems, or any content that is not freely available to any visitor on the open internet.
When you submit a URL for analysis, our tools make standard HTTP requests similar to those made by search engine crawlers. We do not exploit vulnerabilities, inject code, or perform penetration testing of any kind.
For details on how we handle personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Claros Service to:

- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying algorithms of our scanning tools
- Overwhelm our infrastructure through automated bulk requests outside of your plan limits
- Resell, redistribute, or publicly share audit reports for websites you do not own without the site owner's consent
- Use any information from our reports to engage in malicious activity, harassment, or competitive sabotage

7. Intellectual Property
All content, tools, scoring methodologies, and report formats are the intellectual property of Claros. You retain ownership of your website data. Reports you purchase are licensed for your internal use and may be shared with your team, contractors, or service providers working on your behalf.
